Jeanie Marie Buss, an American businesswoman. She is currently the president and the controlling owner of Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. Buss, who is originally from California, was raised in an exceptionally wealthy family. Jerry Buss was her father. Jerry Buss started out as a realty business tycoon after which he later became the owner of the Lakers. Following the divorce of her parents in 1972 She began feeling emotionally abandoned. As a 19-year-old, she took over the Los Angeles Strings professional Tennis team as their General Manager. Later, she founded the Los Angeles Blades roller hockey professional team. Before she became vice president of the Lakers, she served as president of the Great Western Forum. Buss along with her five sisters inherited the Lakers majority ownership following the death of Busshis father in the year 2013. Each sister had equal rights.
